Tesla Technical services limited was incorporated on 6th day of November the year 2013 with three core business areas which include; power lines and substation works, Building construction and service provision in the telecommunication sector.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, install, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems in water supply projects.
- Oversee the selection and installation of equipment, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues during project execution.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate documentation is essential for compliance with industry standards. Electromechanical Engineers create detailed records of designs, tests conducted, modifications made, and maintenance performed.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all designs meet safety regulations is critical. This includes conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures within their projects.
- Collect design and operational data of the existing electro mechanical equipments or systems and review their operational performances, and make recommendations for the operational efficiency improvements.
- Prepare designs and specifications, as well as cost estimates for all remedial actions recommended for the operational efficiency improvements, and submit reports seeking approval to proceed.
- Preparation of the technical specifications and bill of quantities are to be incorporated to the electromechanical equipments to be procured under the projects.
- Carry out electromechanical equipment / systems installation designs, installation plans and supervise the drafting of the design drawings.
- Verifications of imported electro mechanical equipment at projects site for specification compliance.
- Supervision of installation of the electro mechanical equipments / systems ensuring the works are carried out as per the design specifications and contracts administrations of installation works.
- Checking and certifying of contractor’s progress payment claims in respect of electro mechanical items.
- Project implementation coordination with the Government and other project stakeholders.
- Testing and commissioning of electro mechanical equipment / systems on completion of installations, and the preparation of the commissioning and client’s hand-over reports.
- Prepare works progress reports and contract close-out reports.
- Training of the water corporation staff on operation and maintenance tasks, and records keeping.
- Review the electromechanical assets / systems operational performances produce reports.
- Reconciliation of imported electro mechanical equipments on completion of project as directed by Project Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of electromechanical experience including at least 3 years experience in design and implementation of electromechanical equipments of urban water supply schemes.
- Knowledge of World Bank regulations, rules, policies, procedures and practices is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Must be fluent in English, written and oral.
- Highly motivated with a positive attitude and problem-solving approach.
- Commitment, flexibility and willingness to work in a highly motivated team of professionals.
- Well organized, ability to work in a team to achieve the team goals.
