Job Title: Production Supervisor (Tomato/Ketchup Processing)

SIAME Industries manufacturers of Garden-Fresh Tea, Mariano Spices, Sauces, and premium Ketchup, Delicio-Gro Baby and whole family porridge; is a growing household brand with a wide product portolio supplied and sold across the retail chain and groceries to final consumers with a distinctive quality mark. Recently, the company has expanded its ketchup production with extended chemical lines on laundry bar soap, body care products under “De-lite” brand.
Job Summary: A fast-growing manufacturing company requires to hire a Production Supervisor in its Tomato/Ketchup processing division. The required candidate MUST be working or should have worked 2-3 years in a similar role. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary package, quarterly performance bonuses and prize awards including further training.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production process, drafting production schedules and ensure that all planned activities are achieved.
- Ensure that the production is cost effective and within budget.
- Check for quality of the products being produced and ensure they meet the required standards.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
- Identify training needs and organizing training sessions for production workers.
- Monitor productivity rates, product standards and implement quality control programs.
- Work with managers to implement the company’s policies and goals.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and staff to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Prepare and present production reports to management on daily production, product performance, equipment capacity and general operational efficiencies highlighting TQM and continuous improvements.
- Identify and resolve any issues that could cause production delays.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Degree in food science & technology/food processing, or Diploma with sufficient experience and demonstrated capacity to work in similar position, and any certification accreditations of food processing.
Key competencies
- A motivated production supervisor with minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in the food process industry preferable Ketch-up or tomato processing set up, possess excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Experienced in training staff of direct labour employees, addressing production problems, and meeting production targets.
- Successfully achieved production goals by assessing equipment performance, reviewing materials supplies, and organizing manpower.
