Job Title: Payables Accounts Assistant

CFAO Motors Uganda are also the official distributors of brand-new Suzuki vehicles, Yamaha motorcycles, Hino Trucks, and Toyota forklifts. The company also proposes a range of short and long-term lease and car rental solutions for businesses through the LOXEA brand and its partner Avis Fleet. It also provides a raft of other services to expand the offering, including fleet management, geolocation, telematics and more.
Job Summary: Management of the payables function and ensure a lean balance sheet.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage Payables accounts, including regularly communicating with suppliers.
- Reconcile payables accounts especially Foreign Payables and resolve any issues therein.
- Timely and accurate report on Payables and provision accounts.
- Accurately and timely prepare payments to suppliers, service providers and business partners.
- Manage expenses, post supplier invoices, liability recognition as per International Financial Reporting Standards & company guidelines.
- Preparing LPOs with accurate information
- Make monthly expense provisions for services/goods committed by the company.
- Support Parts department in expense management / reviews
- Attend and witness Parts perpetual stock takes.
- Maintain Vendor Master file with accurate information.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business administration/business computing with a bias in accounting.
- Pursuing CPA/ACCA qualification is an added advantage.
Specific experience, knowledge & skills required
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy environment.
- General Accounting Procedures.
- Tech savvy with proficient computer skills, especially MS Office packages.
