Job Summary: As an Accounts Officer, you will be instrumental in managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records. This position demands a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will work closely with a small team and report directly to the Head of Credit/Internal Auditor, ensuring that financial processes are efficient and compliant with regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process loan applications efficiently and accurately.
- Compile and enter new account information into our systems.
- Collect customer deposits and fees, issuing receipts as required.
- Interview customers to gather necessary information for account openings.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in customer records.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields
- Required Certification: CPA
- No prior experience is required, making this position suitable for recent graduates
- Essential skills include customer service, administrative knowledge, and accounting principles
- Must be proficient in accounting software (especially QuickBooks), Microsoft Office Suite, and fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred certifications include ACCA or similar professional qualifications
- Experience in financial reporting or auditing is an added advantage.
