On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent and experienced Marketing Manager to be based in Kampala, Uganda.
Job Summary: This role involves developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans to attract potential customers and retain existing ones. The role also involves overseeing marketing campaigns, managing branding and promotional activities, analyzing market trends, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. The Marketing Manager plays a key role in increasing brand awareness, driving customer engagement, and supporting the company’s growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the company’s products or services and increase brand awareness.
- Plan and oversee advertising and promotional campaigns across various channels.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, competitor activities, and new market opportunities.
- Collaborate with product development, sales, and design teams to align marketing strategies with business goals.
- Manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for maximum return on investment.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance using analytics tools, and adjust strategies based on data insights.
- Oversee the production of marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, newsletters, and digital content.
- Supervise and mentor the marketing team, ensuring timely execution of tasks and professional development.
- Organize and participate in events, exhibitions, and product launches to boost brand visibility and customer engagement.
- Maintain relationships with media, advertising agencies, and other external vendors to ensure quality and consistency in marketing output.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
- Understanding of marketing principles, branding, and digital marketing trends.
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in marketing analytics tools.
- Project management and organizational abilities.
