Our role at that time was to ensure the safe transport and delivery of our clients’ goods in West & Central Africa on an express basis. Job Summary: The General Manager will oversee the overall operations of the company, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and strategic growth. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership, financial management, and operational expertise in the logistics industry.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive company growth and profitability.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
- Lead and manage teams to achieve business objectives.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients. suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor financial performance and implement cost-effective measures.
- Ensure compliance with legal and industry regulations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics. or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage_
- Minimum of 7 years of managerial experience in logistics or a related industry.
- Strong leadership. strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
