Job Title: Financial Accountant (Fresher Jobs)

Kampala Hospital is a privately-owned hospital that was established in 2007. Our mandate was and is to bring non-existent services to the countries that were often sought by many people who frequently moved abroad to seek quality medical care.
Job Summary: We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems, reporting, and compliance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure complete, accurate, and timely recording of all financial transactions and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management and statutory financial reports.
- Manage tax compliance, including timely payments of corporate tax, withholding tax, and VAT.
- Support in corporate tax computation and liaising with tax consultants and URA.
- Monitor expenses and ensure alignment with budgets.
- Prepare weekly cash flow reports and maintain the hospital’s asset register.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors and assist with year-end closing.
- Review reconciliations between Medical Management Systems (KRANIUM) and Accounting System (NAVISION).
- Provide financial analysis and support to department managers.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Business Administration (accounting or finance as major), Bcom, degree in Finance or Accounting
- ACCA or CPA certification is a MUST.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Accountant.
