Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assisting with a variety of accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
