Job Summary: The Finance & Administration Associate will provide financial and administrative support to Renewable Hub Uganda Ltd, ensuring smooth operations, financial accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Supplier & Payments Management
- Facilitate timely supplier payments and maintain strong relationships with service providers.
- Maintain an updated database of Ugandan suppliers, contracts, and SLAs.
- Invoicing Payment Tracking & Field Sales Support
- Prepare and send invoices for sales teams while tracking sales transactions and payments.
- Maintain precise records and reconcile sales accounts.
- Ensure timely payments and maintain accurate cash-in-bank records.
- Support field sales teams in handling cash collections, ensuring proper documentation, reconciliation, and timely banking of received funds.
- Develop and implement a clear process for tracking field sales collections and deposits, ensuring accountability and transparency.
Logistics & Procurement Support
- Assist in organizing distribution logistics for products to project sites.
- Establish and maintain car rental lease agreements with reliable suppliers.
Stock & Warehouse Management
- Track and reconcile warehouse stock records on a routine basis.
- Submit monthly stock reconciliation reports.
Tax & Payroll Compliance
- Ensure timely filing and payment of taxes, payroll, and statutory deductions.
- Maintain zero penalties and compliance with tax regulations.
Office Administration & Management
- Oversee general office administration and maintain an organized, hospitable office environment.
- Ensure cleanliness, security, and proper management of office resources.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- At least 4 years of experience in finance and administration within Uganda.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Knowledge of tax and legal compliance in Uganda is required.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.
- High level of accountability and work ethics.
