Job Summary: Exquisite Solution Limited, a premier HR recruitment and management firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Driver to join our client’s dynamic team in the manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the assigned vehicle to safely and efficiently deliver customer orders to various destinations nationwide, playing a key role in supporting the achievement of the company’s sales and distribution targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate the assigned motor vehicle in compliance with the Highway Code and all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
- Verify delivery instructions and ensure goods are loaded according to the “last-in, first-out” method for efficient delivery.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report the condition to the Stores Manager prior to loading.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance, including oiling, greasing, fluid top-ups, and tire pressure checks.
- Maintain cleanliness and overall upkeep of the assigned vehicle at all times.
- Monitor insurance and vehicle license expiry dates and report in advance to ensure timely renewals.
- Ensure the security and safety of loaded goods during transit and confirm safe delivery to designated locations.
- Park vehicles in secure locations to prevent theft or damage.
- Promptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic offenses, or delivery delays to the Stores Manager.
- Participate in regular refresher trainings on road safety and traffic regulations.
- Carry out any other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Valid driving permit with classes C1, C1E, CE, or C.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transporting Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCGs).
- Diploma in a business-related field is an added advantage
- Clean driving record with no criminal convictions.
- Strong understanding of the Highway Code and traffic regulations.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Skilled in defensive driving techniques.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Familiarity with various inland transport routes.
- Physically fit and capable of handling the physical demands of the role.
