Job Summary:   Our client is seeking a Marketing Officer, who will be responsible for building and maintaining their company brand and enhancing community engagement.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketing & Brand Development

  • Develop and execute a detailed marketing campaign strategy to increase visibility.
  • Create a social media presence from scratch and manage platforms (Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram), ensuring weekly reporting stats
  • Maintain a content calendar for social media posts and campaigns.
  • Plan and execute community-based PR initiatives to establish partnerships.
  • Oversee the school’s website design and maintenance, ensuring relevant updates.
  • Develop digital and print advertisements, collaborating with a PR consultant for campaign launches.

Content Creation & Media Management

  • Capture and edit photos and videos for social media, marketing materials, and newsletters
  • Design and distribute a monthly newsletter.
  • Develop creative and engaging content to showcase company activities and highlights

Client & Community Engagement

  • Organize marketing initiatives targeting prospective clients
  • Strengthen relationships with existing clients through digital communication and event promotion.
  • Work closely with current staff to ensure smooth execution of marketing activities.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, social media management, or public relations.
  • Fluency in both English and Luganda for effective communication.
  • Strong skills in social media management, content creation, and community engagement.
  • Experience with photo and video editing AI & software (e.g., Canva, Adobe tools).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and adapt to flexible work hours.
