Job Title: RHD Registry Coordinator

About Organisation:
The Uganda Heart Institute (UHI) is an autonomous government entity established under The Uganda Heart Institute Act, 2016, mandated to undertake and coordinate cardiovascular disease research in Uganda. UHI seeks to recruit a qualified and competent individual on a contract basis under the Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) Research Collaborative in Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the implementation and expansion of the RHD/ACT Platform at UHI, ensuring optimal utilization.
- Ensure compliance with RHD policies, procedures, and data security protocols.
- Plan and conduct departmental training on the ACT platform and RHD registry.
- Provide leadership for registry activities at UHI and surrounding RHD registry sites.
- Oversee clinical patient care, data entry, and patient follow-ups.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports.
- Participate in team meetings and discussions.
- Support stock management and requisitions.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- A Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management or Data Science.
- A valid Annual Practicing License.
- At least three (3) years of experience in research.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- A valid Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate.
