Job Title: Manager Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation

Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) is a semi-autonomous agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities. UWA was established in 1996 and is managed in accordance with the Wildlife Act Cap 200.
Job Summary: To monitor, evaluate and inspect the performance of the Authority.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing the Authority’s Monitoring and Evaluation framework.
- Preparation of the monitoring and evaluating budget performance.
- Supervising the establishment and maintenance the Monitoring and Evaluation information management system.
- Overseeing the preparation of periodic institutional performance reports.
- Supervising impact and performance assessment of Projects and programmes of the Authority.
- Building capacity of staff in the application of monitoring and evaluation concepts and tools.
- Developing monitoring and evaluation results frameworks and related tools.
- Monitoring the Authority’s Monitoring and Evaluation plans for conformity with the National Development Plan and Tourism Sector plans.
- Coordinating the mid-term and final implementation reviews of the Authority Strategic Plans and Projects.
- Developing a framework for identifying crosscutting policy issues that affect performance in the Authority.
- Evaluating the quality of performance indicators and tracking of service delivery in line with the identified indicators.
- Supervising and appraising staff.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- An Honour’s Bachelor’s Degree in either Monitoring and Evaluation Studies, Economics, Statistics, Population Studies, Project Planning and Entrepreneurship or Business Statistics from a recognized University.
- A Master’s degree in any of the above.
Experience
- At least nine (09) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been at Principal level from a reputable Organisation.
