Job Title:  Manager, Client Relations

Reports to: Managing Director

Uganda Post Limited, trading as Posta Uganda. UPL  is the most extensive provider of postal services in Uganda, having an extensive network of postal delivery outlets down to sub-county level.

 

Job Summary:   To be in charge of marketing, Public Relations as well as managing media relations in line with UPL goals and objectives.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketing

  • Ensure that all company products are supported to realize their target on market share, revenue and awareness.
  • Manage all matters handled by the marketing agency.

Public Relations

  • Ensure that all clients of the company (internal and external) receive adequate attention at all times.
  • Ensure a positive corporate image for Posta Uganda

Media Relations

  • Manage all matters concerning the media
  • Ensure active engagement on all social platforms (twitter, WhatsApp, email).

 

Key Performance Indicators

  • Increased brand recognition/awareness among target audience.
  • Growth in social media followers and engagement rate.
  • Growth in revenue attribute to marketing campaigns.
  • Increase in positive media mentions, press releases, and interviews in target publications.
  • Management and reduction of negative publicity incidents.
  • Timely and effective handling of crises with minimal negative impact on UPL’s brand.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or Media Relations from a recognized University.
  • Preference shall be given to candidates who possess membership in a reputable Professional Accountancy body such as Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM),
  • Accredited Public Relations (APR), Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).

Experience:

  • Six (06) years’ experience at least four (04) of which should have been at the Officer or Supervisory Level in a reputable organization.

  • Digital marketing and social media savvy
  • Analytical and Data Driven Decision Making
  • Creative and Brand oriented
  • Leadership and team collaboration.
