Job Summary: Catalogue and classify library materials in an accessible form for users.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process library materials;
- Replace lost/damaged Library materials;
- Maintain security of Library materials;
- Responsible for readers services;
- Provide reference work and circulation of library materials;
- Maintain the Library catalogue;
- Perform any other related duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- An Honours Bachelor’s degree in Library or Information Science or Information Systems or Information Technology.
Skills/Competences
- Proficiency in computer systems including use of mail and the internet;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
- Integrity;
- Ability to work with teams;
- Quick judgement and decision making;
- Ability to initiate change.
- Age: Below 55 years
