All of the rooms and cottages feature modern décor, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom. The hotel features a restaurant that prepares a variety of international cuisine and local dishes.
Job Summary: Victoria Forest Resort Ltd invites applications from qualified Ugandans to fill the position of Head of Housekeeping.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop floors, and perform other cleaning tasks to ensure all surfaces are spotless and sanitized.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in cleaning and organizing spaces to maintain a neat and orderly environment.
- Manage time effectively to complete tasks efficiently within specified timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
- Utilize physical stamina to handle physically demanding aspects of the job, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
- Exhibit reliability and dependability by consistently showing up for scheduled shifts and completing assigned tasks with precision.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to understand expectations, report issues, and coordinate tasks as needed.
- Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and unexpected situations.
- Utilize previous housekeeping experience to perform duties effectively and efficiently.
- Use language skills to communicate with diverse clientele and provide exceptional service to guests or residents.
- Exhibit excellent customer service skills in interactions with clients, guests, or residents to ensure a positive and welcoming experience.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in housekeeping or a related field.
- Exceptional cleaning skills and attention to detail.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Reliability and dependability in fulfilling job responsibilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
- Proficiency in languages other than English is a plus.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on providing exceptional service.
