Job Title: Under Writing Insurance Officer

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
About Organisation:
Five Star Insurance Brokers Ltd. was established in 1997. From the very inception we are the members of Uganda Association of Insurance Brokers and also licensed by Uganda Insurance Regulatory Authority.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing the Underwriting and Claims efficiently by training and guiding, and ensuring excellent service delivery by handling issues in a speedy and accurate manner.
- Ensuring efficient and quick turnaround time on documentation consistently in both Departments.
- Preparing and executing renewal follow up and documents. Focusing on organic and new business, which may require client / prospect visits.
- Communicating effectively internally with clients and Insurers.
- Liaising with Accounts Department very regularly on all outstanding premiums.
- Being hands on and endeavor to handle any assignment with efficiency, reliability and well within the deadlines stipulated.
- Preparing mandatory monthly MIS reports and reports on any client visits and prospects.
- Having positive attitude, and delivering seamless solutions .
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any course but with work experience of 2-3 years in the same Line of Business / Position.
- A Diploma / Certificate in Insurance course is an added advantage.
