Job Summary: The Showroom Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the assigned showrooms, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient stock management, team development, and achievement of sales targets.
The role involves planning, tracking, and maintaining accurate stock records, recruiting, and expanding the fundi network, and fostering partnerships with various stakeholders. The Showroom Supervisor will collaborate with other departments to drive showroom growth, meet customer needs, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Stock Management
- Plan, monitor, and manage stock levels in the assigned showrooms to meet demand, avoiding shortages or overstocking.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts to ensure alignment with SAP records, investigating and correcting any discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Logistics for timely stock replenishment and efficient stock flow within the assigned showrooms.
Customer Service
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, managing complaints, and implementing feedback to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Train and supervise showroom staff in the assigned locations on customer engagement practices, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
Team Management & Growth
- Oversee the teams in the assigned showrooms, providing guidance and motivation.
- Monitor people performance through continuous performance evaluations and feedback
- Facilitate team training to improve skills in customer engagement, product knowledge, and sales, fostering a high-performing work environment.
- Identify new locations for showrooms growth
Fundi Network Management
- Recruit, register, and grow the network of Fundis within the assigned showrooms, who will support and recommend Uganda Baati products and ensure there is commensurate growth in the volume of sales corresponding with Fundi number growth.
- Organize and manage Fundi trainings and engagement sessions, working closely with Marketing and other internal teams to keep Fundis informed on products, services, and updates.
- Ensure that all Fundis are registered in the system and that due commissions are processed and paid in a timely manner, coordinating with internal departments as needed.
Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with local leaders, religious leaders, local government officials, and other key stakeholders within the assigned Showroom locations to support showroom growth and enhance Uganda Baati’s brand presence.
- Engage with contractors, builders, and the broader construction community to drive product awareness and showroom engagement.
- Coordinate showroom events and community initiatives to build strong relationships and add value through partnerships that align with Uganda Baati’s objectives.
Sales Target Achievement
- Drive sales in the assigned showrooms by setting clear objectives and implementing strategies to meet or exceed monthly and annual targets.
- Support promotional activities and customer outreach to increase showroom foot falls and conversion rates.
- Drive the sales of building solution
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Collaborate with Service Center teams, Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, and other departments to align showroom operations with company goals and ensure effective communication and resource sharing.
- Work with internal teams to ensure stock availability, fundi engagement, and prompt issue resolution to support showroom objectives.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for the assigned showrooms to the Head of Service Centers or any other official as assigned, detailing sales performance, stock levels, fundi engagement, and customer service metrics.
- Analyze reports to identify key shortfalls, implement corrective actions, and track progress toward achieving showroom goals.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in retail store management, preferably within Telecom, Banking, or Insurance sectors.
- Proven track record of managing multiple retail locations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in inventory management and sales analytics.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in managing P&L statements.
