The Water Trust empowers the poorest rural communities to provide their children safe water and a healthy, clean environment to develop to their potential. Since 2008, The Water Trust has partnered with more than 800 communities in Masindi and Kiryandongo, benefitting more than 300,000 people. In 2017, The Water Trust developed an innovative savings group-based approach to increase the sustainability of rural water and the impact of hygiene and sanitation promotion. The organization is currently scaling this novel program across more than 400 communities a year in western Uganda across Ugandan and refugee communities. Over the next three years, The Water Trust aims to scale up its programs through direct implementation and technical assistance partnerships, while continuing to partner with researchers to find new ways to raise the bar for impact and sustainability.
Job Summary: The M&E Enumerator will report to the M&E Officer and must be a resident of Masindi, Kiryandongo, Hoima, or Buliisa. This role involves data collection for the assigned projects. The ideal candidates should have at least one year of experience in data collection and the ability to conduct digital data collection.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data collection for any assigned project
- Review completed questionnaires /surveys for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure timely submission of all completed questionnaires.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the M&E officer
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Diploma and Bachelors in any field is required.
- Having a SMARTPHONE is a must.
- Highly organized: demonstrated ability to manage information, respond to communication in a timely manner, and meet deadlines.
- Strong language skills: able to clearly speak and write in English, and one more of the local languages (such as Swahili, Runyoro, Luo, Iteso, Lugbara).
- Candidates must hold a valid riding permit and be able to independently and safely ride a motorbike over long distances.
- Must own or have access to a motorcycle that will support him/her during any assigned activity.
- Must be comfortable traveling to rural communities by motorbike five days a week.
- Must have knowledge of digital data collection.
