Job Summary: The Senior Online Video Editor is responsible for shaping the final narrative of video projects and ensuring they meet brand standards and creative objectives. This role involves supervising and mentoring a team of editors, refining post-production processes, and collaborating closely with producers, directors, and other stakeholders. The Senior Online Video Editor plays a key role in maintaining quality, consistency, and efficiency across all editing projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Post-Production Leadership
- Guide the overall editing direction and creative style for each project.
- Review and provide feedback on video edits, ensuring they align with brand guidelines and project briefs.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and propose innovative solutions to improve workflows.
Team Mentorship & Collaboration
- Mentor and support junior editors, providing training and constructive feedback to elevate skills.
- Assign projects to editors and monitor progress, balancing workloads to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with other creative leads (e.g., Head of Creative, Video Production Supervisor) to coordinate post-production tasks and resources.
Quality Control & Brand Consistency
- Enforce high standards for online video quality, storytelling, and messaging.
- Ensure online video content aligns with company branding, style guidelines, and voice.
- Maintain consistency in visual elements (e.g., color grading, graphics, and transitions) across multiple projects.
Process & Workflow Optimization
- Develop and refine post-production processes, including file management, version control, and asset organization.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, software updates, and emerging editing techniques.
- Evaluate and recommend new editing tools or plugins to enhance efficiency and creative output.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand project objectives and convey editing concepts effectively.
- Communicate timelines and expectations to the editing team and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with producers, content researchers, graphic designers, and other team members to ensure all elements of the final video are cohesive
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 4+ years of professional video editing experience, including advanced knowledge of editing software (e.g. Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Creative Suite (Light room, Premier Pro, Photo shop & After Effects), Adobe Sound Enhancer or similar software,

Technical Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in editing software and post-production workflows.
- Familiarity with color grading, motion graphics, sound design, and VFX integration.
- Strong understanding of various video formats, codecs, and social media specifications.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities, with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Creative and detail-oriented with a keen sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual style.
