About Organisation:
Uganda Wildlife Research & Training Institute (UWRTI) is a semi-autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, established by Uganda Wildlife Research & Training Institute Act, 2016. The Institute is mandated to: “Undertake research and training services for sustainable conservation and management of Uganda’s wildlife resources.’’
Job Summary: To receive, keep and provide records according to established standards and procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving, sorting and opening mail.
- Dispatching mail.
- Filing correspondences.
- Forwarding files for action.
- Monitoring file movement.
- Maintaining a ‘Bring Up’ (BU) diary.
- Carrying out file census.
- Weeding files.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in either Records and Archives Management or Library and Information Science or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution.
- Working Experience Three (3) years working experience as a Records Officer in Government or equivalent from a reputable Organization
