Job Summary: The position holder is responsible for overseeing the procurement function of the organization, ensuring the efficient and cod: effective acquisition of goods and services required for business operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a procurement strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct market research. assess suppler capabilities. and ensure cost efficiency.
- Plan procurement budgets and coordinate with departments for demand forecasting
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure quality goods and services.
- Establish long-term supplier relationships and assess performance metrics.
- Mitigate supply chain risks by diversifying suppliers and implementing contingency plans.
- Manage tendering, bidding. and contract negotiations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Oversee procurement policies. legal adherence. and process improvements.
- Track purchase orders and deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment of contracts
- Monitor procurement expenses and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Generate reports on supplier performance, cost efficiency, and procurement risks.
- Coordinate with inventory teams to optimize dock levels and prevent shortages.
- Lead and develop the procurement team through training and performance reviews.
- Work closely with internal departments (Finance, Legal, 11; etc.) to Streamline procurement processes.
- Serve as the primary contact for procurement-related matters within the organization.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Supply Chain Management Procurement. or a related field. A professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS, MCIPS) is desirable.
- At least 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management with a track record of successful suppler management and cost control
- Proficiency in procurement and supply chain management software (e.g, SAP, Oracle), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g.. CIPS. CPIM. or equivalent) is an advantage.

- Ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously
