Avanti Energy Services Limited (Avanti) is a Ugandan national company, which engages in providing services to the upstream oil and gas production industry within Uganda. Avanti was awarded a contract by a major oil and gas service company to source and employ in excess of 100 Ugandan engineers, technicians, operators and laborers to support their oil drilling operations within Uganda.

Job Summary:   Avanti Energy Services Limited, a leading Oil and Gas Human Resource Recruitment and Consultancy firm, is seeking a Marketing Director to support our client in the dynamic oil and gas sector. This is a critical role for a results-oriented professional committed to advancing Marketing goals while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Marketing planning. Conduct in-depth research on local market dynamics, competitors and industry trends, formulate market strategies and annual marketing plans that meet the company’s goals; collaborate with the marketing team at COSL headquarters to ensure that COSL’s global market strategy is effectively implemented and adjusted locally.
• Brand promotion and management. Responsible for the positioning, promotion and maintenance of the company’s brand in the local market, enhancing the brand image and value; formulating and implementing brand promotion strategies, including market development and marketing activities, to increase brand awareness and reputation
• Market analysis and customer management. Organize and conduct market research activities, collect and analyze market data and customer needs, and provide a basis for decision-making; monitor market trends and competitor activities, and adjust market strategies in a timely manner to maintain competitive advantages; be responsible for the development and maintenance of major customers and enhance customer relationships
• Marketing network development and management. Build a marketing network, develop and manage local marketing channels, including the integration and optimization of online and offline channels, improve operational efficiency; establish close cooperative relationships with agents and partners.
• Service /product marketing. Formulate marketing strategies and be responsible for the market promotion and marketing of the company’s geophysical exploration, drilling, oilfield technology, shipping, integration and other services and products.
• Team management and collaboration. Lead and manage the marketing team, cultivate and develop the professional capabilities of team members; work closely with other departments to ensure the coordination and consistency of marketing work with the company’s overall operations.
• Budget management and performance evaluation. Responsible for the preparation and management of the market budget to ensure rational allocation and effective use of resources; evaluate the effectiveness of market activities, formulate market performance indicators and conduct regular evaluations and reports.
• Business risk control. Determine the business operation model of overseas projects, coordinate the review of business contracts for market revenue projects and formulate risk control measures.
• Complete other tasks assigned by the general manager

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in marketing, business management, petroleum engineering and other related majors.
• More than 3 years of experience in marketing in the oil industry, more than 10 years of cumulative work experience. Those with work experience in overseas markets are preferred.
• Familiar with the local oil industry, market environment and industry competition, with excellent market analysis, planning and execution capabilities, innovative thinking and keen market insight.
• Have good team leadership, communication and coordination skills, and cross-cultural teamwork skills, and have a high sense of identity with the industry culture.
• Proficient in local language and English, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Able to withstand work pressure, adapt to changing market environment, and have problem-solving skills.
