Job Summary: Sokoni Africa Limited is on the lookout for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payables Officer preferably a gentleman to join our finance team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for managing and processing all vendor invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and maintaining financial records related to accounts payable.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review, process, and approve vendor invoices for payment
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to payments
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
- Prepare and process payments in accordance with payment terms
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate information and reporting
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in an Accounts Payables role or similar financial role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
