Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, general ledger entries, and journal entries.
- Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process with data analysis.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related role (public accounting experience is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
