Job Summary: Jakana Foods Ltd, a leading producer of high-quality dried fruits and gourmet food products located in Kawempe, is looking for a Financial Controller to join our dynamic team. If you have a strong background in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning, we want to hear from you!
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, and compliance.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure tax compliance and regulatory adherence.
- Optimize financial systems and controls for efficiency.
- Support senior management with financial insights and recommendations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA/ACCA qualification preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the food or manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with different accounting systems; expertise in QuickBooks is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment.
