Job Summary: We are looking for a Distribution Expert with a minimum of 1 year of experience distributing products in supermarkets and retail shops across Uganda. The ideal candidate will have strong connections within the retail distribution network, a deep understanding of supply chain logistics, and the ability to develop and execute distribution strategies that enhance product availability and sales.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective distribution strategies to ensure product availability in supermarkets and retail shops.
- Identify and establish relationships with key retailers, supermarkets, and wholesalers.
- Negotiate placement and pricing terms with retail partners.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishments to avoid stockouts.
- Conduct market research to identify new distribution opportunities and improve existing channels.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to product
- Provide regular reports and insights on sales performance, market trends, and distribution challenges.
- Train and support retail partners on product knowledge and sales techniques.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in product distribution, specifically in supermarkets and retail shops in Uganda.
- Strong network and existing relationships within the retail sector.
- Understanding of supply chain and inventory management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyse market trends and develop strategic distribution plans.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
