Job Title:  Digital Transformation Officer

About Organisation:

Saviour is a Microfinance institution licensed by the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority with operations in the Central, Eastern and Northern regions of Uganda. We provide funding to Small and Medium Enterprise businesses and Christian Educational Institutions.

Job Summary:   We are seeking a highly skilled person to join our team and will be responsible for leading and executing the organization’s digital transformation strategy. This role involves leveraging emerging technologies, optimizing business processes, and driving innovation to enhance efficiency, customer experience, and overall business performance. The DTO works closely with different departments to integrate digital solutions, improve data-driven decision-making, and ensure the organization remains competitive in the digital era.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Launch SML in to the digital world through digitising its processes;
• Implement Digital Marketing for SML;
• Support SML business through updating and implementing an efficient
• services system;
• Support all staff in the efficient use of Information Services facilities in order
• to perform their tasks efficiently;
• Manage SML’s Information Services networks including LAN and WAN across all offices;
• Set up Information Services security systems to keep SML safe from both internal and external breaches;
• Provide support, reviews and recommendations for the banking software and any other systems that SML will adopt;
• Manage relations of software and hardware suppliers;
• Maintain the Website and create, manage and update social media platforms that will drive SML business;
• Work with all departments to implement webmail using outlook or any other suitable mail;
• Propose and lead the implementation of strategies that will allow SML exploit ICT opportunities for business growth;
• Perform and other duties as may be assigned by your immediate Supervisor,
• Departmental Heads or Company Directors

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology
• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT, Business Strategy, or Digital Innovation.
• Previous roles in Digital Strategy, IT Management, or Consulting
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in Finance, HR and Credit
• Data Science certification (Optional)
