Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Surgeon to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, preventing, and treating dental and oral diseases, performing surgical procedures, and providing comprehensive patient care. The Dental Surgeon should have excellent clinical skills, a patient-centric approach, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of oral healthcare
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform dental surgical procedures, including extractions, implants, root canals, and reconstructive surgeries.
- Diagnose and treat oral health issues, including gum diseases, infections, and deformities.
- Conduct comprehensive oral examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer anesthesia and ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- Provide post-operative care, guidance, and follow-up to ensure proper healing.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including orthodontists and periodontists, for multidisciplinary treatment approaches.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry (BDS), PHDO
- Valid dental license to practice in Uganda.
Years of Experience:
- 2 years proven experience as a dental surgeon or in a similar role.
Skills required to perform the Job:
- Proficiency in using dental equipment, tools, and technology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and a high level of precision in surgical procedures.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
