Job Summary:   To drive growth and profitability in the corporate business segment by developing and executing sales strategies, fostering strong relationships with corporate clients, and ensuring excellent customer service to retain and grow the portfolio.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve corporate sales targets aligned with Britam’s overall business objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market segments for growth.
  • Prepare and manage the corporate sales budget.
  • Drive growth of business generated from bids based on targets and defend the market share position.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with corporate clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for corporate accounts to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored insurance solutions.

Business Development:

  • Identify, prospect, and onboard new corporate clients to grow the portfolio.
  • Develop customized proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Represent Britam at industry events and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.

Sales Performance and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present periodic sales performance reports to management.
  • Develop action plans to address gaps in performance.

Product Knowledge and Market Insights:

  • Stay updated on Britam’s product offerings and industry developments.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence to inform product development and pricing strategies.
  • Provide feedback to management on client needs and market trends.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the underwriting, claims, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create campaigns targeting corporate clients.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the corporate sales portfolio.

Customer Retention:

  • Develop and implement strategies to retain existing clients and renew policies.
  • Address client concerns promptly and effectively to maintain long-term relationships.
  • Design a competitive customer experience for all products in the portfolio.

Performance Metrics:

  • Drive key performance indicators (KPIs), such as client acquisition, retention rates, revenue growth, and profitability.

 

Key Performance Measures: As per your Personal Score Card (PSC)





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Business Degree or equivalent
  • Professional Certification in Insurance is an added advantage
  • Expert experience in Corporate Sales and Corporate Stakeholder engagement
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in Business Development and sales generation in the financial services sector.
  • Must be well versed with the PPDA Act, regulations and guidelines.
  • Possess prequalification and tender/ bid preparation skills.
  • Be able to carry out market intelligence and have an understanding trendsetter industry dynamics.
  • Possess analytical skill and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Must be computer savvy
  • Knowledge of Britam products
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry and corporate sales practices.
