Job Summary: Jakana Foods Ltd, a leading producer of high-quality dried fruits and gourmet food products, is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. If you have a passion for numbers and a knack for keeping financial records in order, we’d love to meet you!
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process and record daily financial transactions with precision.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Petty cash management.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payments.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and support month-end closings.
- Assist with payroll processing and liaise with external auditors as needed.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within the food or manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in various accounting systems; knowledge of QuickBooks is an added advantage
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
