Job Summary:   Wagtech Environmental Uganda Limited is seeking to recruit an Accountant

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Bank reconciliation (Daily and monthly)
• Keeping account books and systems up to date
• Costing of Stocks (Imports)
• Preparing Payroll and filing tax returns.
• Keeping an eye on incoming payments from accounts receivable and outgoing payments from
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, providing timely updates and recommendations to management.
• Ledger Straitening,
• Preparation & updating of fixed asset Register on a regular basis(additions & disposals)
• Preparation of Monthly reports
• Following up on invoices not yet received from the suppliers based
• Invoicing, Checking & signing of sales invoices, i.e. prices, payment terms, transfers if received, Efris
• Stock Taking and preparation of stock variance reports as and when required.
• Liaising with departments.
• Handling of cash (in absence of cashier)
• Generation, Preparation & Submission of Monthly Reports.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Should have a bachelors degree in accounting, should have CPA or ACCA
• Should have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Should have at least 3 years working experience working in a company that sells laboratory or medical equipment
