DFCU Bank is a fast growing commercial bank offering a variety of innovative products and services. DFCU Limited was started by the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC) of the United Kingdom and the Government of Uganda through the Uganda Development Corporation (UDC) under the name of Development Finance Company of Uganda Limited. Later restructuring brought in DEG (of Germany) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) as equal partners with CDC and UDC, each having a 25% stake in the company. Its objective was to support long-term development projects whose financing needs and risk did not appeal to the then existing financial commercial lending institutions.

 

Job Summary:   Reporting to the Team Leader – New Business, the role holder will directly promote dfcu bank products and services under the retail banking domain to customers through face-to-face interactions, focusing on building relationships and achieving sales targets across the dfcu bank network.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve set targets. (Accounts, Personal Loans, Deposits, Agency Banking/E — Channels).
  • Planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential Customers.
  • Attending field activation for potential client sourcing.
  • Monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information.
  • Ensure client KYC/ documentation is well done for both personal loans and accounts.
  • Attend to customer queries and complaints.
  • Prepare daily performance reports and business pipelines.
  • Grow the personal asset and liability portfolio of the bank to achieve the sales targets.
  • Increase product penetration for personal banking clients by cross-selling and proactively recommending new products.
  • Conduct regular face-to-face customer visits.
  • Onboard new customers on alternate channels.
  • Comply with KYC, AML & suspicious transactions reporting and ensure that all documentation and transactions are in line with local and regulatory anti-money laundering and KYC requirements.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the dfcu Bank Direct Sales Representative career opportunity must hold a bachelor’s degree in any field preferably business-related.
  • Credit in mathematics and English at O’ level is a must.
  • Relevant working experience (especially in Sales) is an added advantage
