Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Camp Management Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our 4,000-person (accommodation)/ 6000-person (catering) international project site camp. This critical role ensures the well-being of our diverse workforce by providing a safe, comfortable, and efficient living environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in large-scale camp management or hotel management, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a multicultural setting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overall Camp Operations: Oversee all aspects of camp operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery across all areas.
- Accommodation Management: Maintain clean, comfortable, and well-maintained accommodation for all residents. Manage room assignments, maintenance requests, and housekeeping services.
- Catering: Supervise catering services to provide nutritious, culturally diverse meals that meet the dietary needs of our international workforce. Monitor food quality, hygiene standards, and kitchen operations.
- Laundry Services: Manage laundry services to ensure residents have access to clean clothes and linens.
- Medical Services: Coordinate access to medical care for residents, including managing the camp clinic (if applicable) and coordinating with local medical facilities.
- Utilities Management: Oversee power generation, water management, and waste disposal systems to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply of essential utilities.
- Security: Implement and enforce security protocols to ensure the safety and security of residents and camp facilities. Liaise with security personnel and local authorities as needed.
- Subcontractor Management: Manage the performance of camp service subcontractors (e.g., catering, cleaning, laundry, security, medical services, power generation, waste, water, site utilities etc) to ensure service quality and adherence to contracts.
- Budget Management: Manage the camp budget effectively, controlling costs and maximizing resource utilization.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with residents, camp staff, project management, and company headquarters. Address resident concerns and resolve issues promptly.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on camp operations, including key performance indicators, budget updates, and incident reports.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in large-scale camp management or hotel management.
- Proven ability to manage a diverse workforce in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of camp management principles and best practices.
- Experience managing subcontractors and budgets.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken). Chinese language skills are a plus.
- Computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
