Job Summary: The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and assessment of programs to ensure their effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals. The individual will track performance indicators, analyze data, and provide recommendations to improve program outcomes.The role includes utilizing Salesforce for data management, analysis, and reporting, and supporting grant writing and reporting activities. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring that the organization’s programs achieve their intended results.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitoring & Evaluation:
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks and plans for programs and projects.
- Design, develop, and manage data collection tools (surveys, interviews, etc.).
- Monitor program performance by tracking indicators, milestones, and
- Provide technical data collection, analysis, and reporting support to ensure high-quality data.
- Conduct regular field visits to verify data and assess program activities.
- Analyze data and prepare reports to assess the impact of programs and
- recommend improvements.
- Work with program teams to ensure M&E systems are integrated into program implementation.
- Ensure accurate and timely collection of data for M&E purposes.
Salesforce Utilization:
- Utilize Salesforce to manage and analyze program data, track project progress, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain Salesforce dashboards and reports to monitor program outcomes and donor requirements.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency within Salesforce, troubleshooting any issues as they arise.
Grant Writing & Reporting:
- Contribute to writing and submitting grant proposals to secure program funding.
- Support the creation of budgets and narrative reports for grants.
- Monitor grant progress and ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to ensure alignment between M&E data and funding proposals.
Secondary responsibility
Capacity Building and Support:
- Train and support staff on M&E processes and the use of Salesforce for program tracking.
- Guide data collection, reporting, and analysis techniques.
- Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the organization.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with NGO’s and familiarity with their M&E requirements.
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Fluency in languages like Arabic, Lugbarati, and English
Work Environment and Conditions:
- Location: Kampala, with potential for field visits as required.
- Travel: Occasional travel to program sites as necessary.
- Work Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
