Kenchic is the leading producer of poultry in East and Central Africa. At its inception, the company’s main activity was the production of broiler and layer day old chicks. Over the years the company has expanded operations to include processed chicken and further processed products. The company started its operations in 1984. The company’s Head Office is in Exsan House along Enterprise road. Kenchic is proud to be the largest integrated poultry operation in East and Central Africa and deals in day-old chicks, processed chicken meat and further processed products such as smoked sausages, choma sausages & sausages.

 

Job Summary:   As a Marketing Manager, you will champion our brands in Uganda, spearheading strategic planning and execution to enhance market share and consumer engagement. You’ll lead innovation and renovation projects while collaborating across functions to deliver measurable business results.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze consumer, trade, and competitor data specific to the Uganda market to identify growth opportunities and develop actionable strategies.
  • Develop and execute strategic and annual marketing plans grounded in insights and aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive marketing activities (ATL/BTL), ensuring campaigns are executed on time, within budget, and deliver on key performance indicators.
  • Oversee end-to-end innovation and renovation projects, from concept to market launch.
  • Implement initiatives to improve conversion rates, ensuring marketing efforts result in increased sales and customer retention.
  • Design and execute 360-degree marketing activations to optimize investment and brand impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external partners, and agencies to achieve marketing goals.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing or brand management, preferably within FMCG, with a focus on the Uganda market.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful campaigns and driving brand growth.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Creativity and the ability to develop innovative and impactful marketing strategies.
