Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the retail structure for Airtel Uganda.
  • Manage deployment of the target numbers for all retail channels.
  • Delivering sales by developing relationships with retail partners.
  • Develop and implement sales processes and policies that are aligned and support distribution strategies.
  • Define and implement strategies/plans to grow and improve REC additions from Gross Adds.
  • Develop and implement acquisition strategies for the various sales verticals across Retail.
  • Utilize market research and effective competitor analysis to develop and implement retail plan/strategies that will give Airtel an edge over completion.
  • Constantly monitor all indices to ensure performance against set target while ensuring remedial action for all under-performing initiatives.
  • To facilitate and develop the “P&L” for the retail channels comprising both Sales and Service parameters earnings.
  • Ensure roll outs and drive healthy profitability in the retail.
  • To devise and facilitate IT enabled key automation projects for roll outs at each.
  • Define & drive quality customer experience.
  • Manage, motivate, & develop staff.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • University Degree in any business-related field.
  • Post-graduate education or training is added advantage.
  • 10+ years of work experience in Customer service or Retail management with 5 years in a senior manager role.
  • Telecommunication work experience.
  • Team Leadership.
  • Resilience
  • Ability to influence and get things done quickly.
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural/ cross-country environment.
  • Creativity (out-of-the box thinking) and Commercial Acumen.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Effective Communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to make presentations.
