Job Summary: This role will lead NFT Consult’s expansion efforts across East Africa. This role is pivotal in establishing NFT’s footprint, building brand awareness, and driving client acquisition within a new and dynamic market. The job holder will identify high-impact opportunities, develop market strategies, and foster relationships with key stakeholders to ensure NFT’s successful market penetration. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong regional insights, and the ability to drive growth in an emerging market. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-oriented professional with experience in business development and a passion for shaping new markets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The NFT Business Growth Model framework is essential for developing and delivering annual key performance indicators (KPI) and impacting and sustaining the growth of regional business units.
Regulatory Compliance and Governance:
- Oversee and ensure that all regional business units comply with legal, tax, and social security requirements, including business licenses, permits, certificates, and insurance coverage.
- Collaborate with finance and audit teams to support the completion of annual audits and regulatory compliance reviews.
Talent Development and Team Leadership:
- Lead the recruitment, training, and development of high-performing business unit managers to achieve strategic objectives.
- Establish performance management systems and conduct bi-annual performance reviews to ensure accountability and achievement of individual and team goals.
- Mentor and coach business unit managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and leadership within the team.
Business Development and Service Delivery Excellence:
- Drive business development initiatives by setting strategic sales targets, developing growth plans, and ensuring that each unit meets or exceeds these targets.
- Support business unit managers in designing solutions that align with client needs and NFT’s offerings, ensuring proposals are tailored to client’s specific challenges and objectives.
Client Retention and Relationship Management:
- Develop and oversee customer retention strategies for key accounts, ensuring a high level of service delivery and client satisfaction across the region.
- Foster strong client relationships by leveraging networks, engaging in consultative discussions, and supporting managers in retaining key accounts.
Sales and Revenue Growth:
- Establish sales targets for each business unit and ensure accurate forecasting, tracking, and reporting of sales performance.
- Monitor CRM systems for data accuracy and consistency, using insights to drive sales initiatives and track progress on strategic goals.
Operational and Strategic Reporting:
- Compile and submit comprehensive progress reports on regional business risks, performance metrics, budget allocations, and strategy objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate overall business health across East Africa, making data-driven adjustments to meet corporate goals.
Market Expansion and Strategic Client Engagement:
- Identify and develop relationships with key decision-makers within potential client organizations to build a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Support business unit managers in prospecting and arranging meetings with prospective clients, enhancing NFT’s footprint in East Africa.
Network Building and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Leverage and expand regional networks to strengthen NFT’s brand presence, build partnerships, and secure new business.
- Represent NFT Consult at key industry events, trade shows, and client meetings, enhancing visibility and credibility in Southern Africa and Rwanda.
Project Execution and Support:
- Oversee the execution of strategic projects from HQ within each business unit, guiding to ensure successful implementation and alignment with NFT’s standards.
- Act as the main point of contact for regional projects, ensuring cross-functional coordination and timely delivery of project milestones.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is highly preferred.
Professional Certifications (Desirable):
- Business Development, Sales, and/or Project Management certifications.
- Leadership or management training certifications are an added advantage.
Key Skills:
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal Skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, collaboration tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Analytical skills to track performance and adjust strategies effectively.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively across the East African Region
- Fluency in English (other regional languages are an asset).
- A proven entrepreneurial mindset that can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
