Hutland Tours is one of Uganda’s leading tour operators and destination management companies, specialized in providing quality, customized, private and group tours within the region.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consulting with clients to understand their travel needs, interests, and budget.
- Designing customized itineraries, including flights, accommodations, tours, and activities, for destinations in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
- Providing expert advice on destinations, visa requirements, travel insurance, and other travel-related information.
- Preparing and presenting travel proposals and quotations.
- Booking reservations and coordinating all travel arrangements.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Staying up-to-date on travel trends, destination information, and industry best practices.
- Promoting Hutland Tours’ sustainable travel philosophy.
- Contributing to the development of new tour packages and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Tour Consultant or in a similar travel industry role.
- Excellent knowledge of travel destinations, particularly in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and/or Europe.
- Strong understanding of sustainable tourism principles and practices.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to create customized itineraries that meet diverse needs and budgets.
- Proficiency in GDS (Global Distribution Systems) and other travel booking platforms.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential; additional language skills are a strong advantage.
- A passion for travel and a commitment to responsible tourism.
