Job Title:  Press Technician (Fresher O’ Level Jobs

Job Summary:   To operate the press and auxiliary equipment properly so as to timely produce a quality product and attain the print order in the most cost effective way.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operates the reel stands, the printing press and the fountain Solution douser and pump
  • Ensures good quality materials are used on the press.
  • Generates production reports
  • Carries out minor maintenance of equipment
  • Carries out press shutdown





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Academic: Uganda Certificate of Education (O level) or equivalent
  • Professional: Certificate in Printing Technology or its equivalent
  • Experience: 2 years working experience, preferably in a printing environment of a media house.

  • Willing to work long hours
  • Planning and organization skills
  • Good report writing skills
