Job Summary: Quality Plastics (U) LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will manage a team of technicians, oversee the maintenance, repair, and development of electrical systems, and ensure all tasks are executed efficiently and to the highest standard. This role demands a hands-on leader with a strong technical background in hydraulics and exceptional management skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems related to electrical and electronic systems, including PLC, APC, DCS, SCADA, and other specific control processes in manufacturing.
- Design and modify motor power control apparatus circuits.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and machine operators to integrate electronic and electrical systems into overall product designs.
- Lead and supervise a team of electronic technicians, providing guidance and support.
- Design and test electronic circuits and systems to ensure compliance with customer specifications, product requirements, and industry standards.
- Test solid-state circuitry to determine defective components in analog and digital equipment and replace defective parts.
- Develop and implement departmental goals, policies, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
- Conduct technical training for team members to keep their skills updated.
- Ensure timely and budget-friendly project completion.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct performance evaluations, monitor progress, and provide feedback to team members.
- Prepare reports on departmental performance, including project updates and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in hydraulics, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric hydraulic systems.
- Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
