Job Summary:   As a project manager, you will oversee and drive project planning, execution and implementation to completion ensuring delivery within scope, time, quality and budget. This role will require collaboration with various departments, stakeholders and clients in order to align project goals and monitoring progress. The Project Manager will be responsible for risk assessment, quality control, and ensuring successful outcomes for assigned projects. The role will be for COSEKE Uganda.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring quality delivery, stakeholder satisfaction, and efficient resource use, while assessing performance and fostering team growth post-completion.
  • Ensure accurate requirement gathering, documentation, and translation of business needs into technical plans.
  • Manage warehouse operations by ensuring accurate file archiving, security, and inventory checks while maintaining compliance and serving as the primary client liaison for document handling.
  • Lead and support staff by defining roles, setting expectations, monitoring performance, and fostering development through capacity building and HR-aligned management strategies.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Information Technology, Business or a related field; Master’ degree is preferred
  • Formal training and/or certification in a recognized project management methodology; PMP, Prince2 or equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in managing projects successfully in a complex information technology environment
  • Proven ability to develop budgets and effectively manage financial, physical and human resources.

Skills/ Knowledge/ Competences Required

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
  • Highly competent in the use of project management software tools and systems.
  • Proven knowledge of technology and information systems.
  • Understanding of project management principles
