Premium Agent Officer Jobs – Wave Mobile Money
Job Title: Premium Agent Officer
Organisation: Wave Mobile Money
Duty Station: Arua, Uganda
About the Company:
Wave Mobile Money is building a cashless Africa – starting in Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Uganda & now in Mali. Without access to financial institutions, people are forced to keep their savings under the mattress. Small business owners rely on lenders who charge extortionate rates. Parents spend hours waiting in line to pay school fees in cash. We’re solving this by building financial services that just work: no account fees, instantly available, and accepted everywhere. In places where electricity, water and roads don’t always work, you can still send money with Wave.

- Ensure that all cash management transactions are correctly recorded in the treasury system.
- Promptly request sufficient funds from the head office to ensure no service disruptions and delays at the outlet while serving our customers and agents.

- Ensure all cash management policies and guidelines are adhered to.
- Responsible for the escalation and follow-up of all issues that impede the well-functioning of the premium outlet.
- Encourage proximity agents to be liquid through frequent tracking, monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Support agent/customer needs to provide immediate support on Wave’s offer information, opening accounts, system, application, and physical cards.
- Ensure that all cash management transactions are correctly recorded in the treasury system.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Strong proficiency in English and other local languages in Uganda preferably Lugbara.
- 3+ years of experience as a cashier in cash management, reconciliation & liquidity management, cash handling or delivery, or a similar position.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, banking, or any related discipline.
- You might be a good fit if you
- Are exceptionally organized and able to follow through on tasks independently.
