Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) is the largest African Coca-Cola Bottler, accounting for 40% of all Coca-Cola volumes on the continent. In Uganda, CCBA is represented by Century Bottling Company Limited and Rwenzori Bottling Company Limited.
Job Summary: Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda/ CCBU is a subsidiary of CCBA, and we are currently seeking to recruit a Cashier, based at our Mbarara Plant. As a Cashier, you will report directly to the Financial Accountant General Ledger.
Key purpose Statement: The primary role of a Cashier is to manage the company’s cash transactions, ensuring accurate recording of financial documentation,
safe keeping of cash and supporting financial operations while ensuring compliance to all finance requirements across the Business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keep good custody of banking receipts
- Issue Petty cash, manage the cash and ensure vouchers are posted within 48 hours
- Daily reconciliation of cash
- 100% compliance to implementation of procedures & policies related to cash sales deposits
- Receiving and checking of money received at the Plant
- Prepare monthly petty cash reconciliations and this should be balanced.
- Ensure all petty cash vouchers are signed and have gone through the relevant stake holders before issuing payments
- Ensure all cash related issues are reported accurately and on time as per policy requirements.
- Ensure files are kept neat and arranged in sequence order
- Keep good custody of bank documents and
- Issue receipts to customers or receive receipts from customers
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Qualifications:
- Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting and any other related field.
Experience:
- Prior experience as a Cashier in an FMCG is preferred
