Job Summary: The job holder will be responsible for Planning and leading the implementation of IT solutions and systems in compliance with GTBank’s Policies, Procedures and best practices while ensuring Compliance to Regulatory requirements and best practices.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage all teams of Technology Group and the staff of the department, planning and organizing their activities, setting targets, monitoring performance and giving support, instruction and advice;
- Design and implement strategic information technology plans and budgets for cost-effective procurement, utilization and maintenance of computer software and hardware;
- Formulate, manage and monitor IT Disaster Recovery and Security Policies and Procedures.
- Management of Vendors; Negotiate service level agreements and monitor the performance of vendors and suppliers to ensure the service level agreements are met,
- Monitor leases and contracts and ensure compliance with terms and proper licensing for all hardware and software components is done.
- Ensure Compliance to Internal Controls, Policies and procedures; regulatory requirements and industries’ best practices.
- Planning the future objectives of the department and ensuring these are in accordance with the corporate objectives of the Bank;
- Prepare and maintain the risk assessment matrix associated with technologies implemented at Bank;
- Oversee the areas of information security, business continuity planning, audit, insurance and compliance;
- Implement and enforce effective internal IT controls;
- Using IT governance best practices, manage configuration & release;
- Manage IT procurements in collaboration with Bank procurement department and in accordance with Bank procurement rules and regulations;
- Perform any other duties as may be directed by the Executive Director.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Software Engineering or any other related field.
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in Information Technology with at least 5 years in middle management.
- CCNA, MCSE, MCSA and CLA are added advantages
- Thorough knowledge of database management systems technologies especially Sybase, Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
- Thorough knowledge of and experience in writing scripts using Transact-SQL
- Knowledge of and experience in software development methodologies and languages especially .NET or JAVA
- Experience in managing multiple RDBMS on large systems
- Strong project management, problem solving, reporting and analytical skills
- Ability to think strategically
- Good communication, interpersonal, Analytical and Leadership skills
- Strategic and Project Planning skills
