Buganda Land Board is an agency of the Kabaka of Buganda which was entrusted with managing land belonging to Buganda Kingdom. Buganda Land Board will match with its vision of being a centre of excellence in Entrepreneurial land management and development in Uganda and beyond.
Job Summary: To provide leadership in the effective management of Finance within the company aligned to the business strategy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Specific duties and responsibilities include:
Financial Management
- Provide financial expertise and counsel to both the CEO and the Finance committee of the Board with respect to organization’s financial position and performance. especially in the areas of budget discipline and cash flow monitoring.
- Ensure that the financial and administrative systems function effectively and efficiently in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures manuals.
- Manage the operational and strategic functions of the finance department to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Oversee the development of budgets including overall company budget, project budgets, annual expenditure projections, annual cash flow projections, and forecast financial requirements on a regular basis.
- Ensure timely production and dissemination of periodic reports to the various stakeholders.
- Manage the financial relationships with external parties and liaise with them on behalf of BLB.
Administration including Transport & Estates Operations:
- Oversee administrative functions as well as facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operational processes.
- Ensure effective integration of all finance. transport end administrative services. as well as effective communication and collaboration between technical and support staff.
- Ensure effective management of BLB assets and premises.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Accounting or in any relevant/ related field
- A Masters degree majoring in Accounting /Finance.
- Membership to professional accounting bodies such as ACCA and CPA
- Certification in IT related courses is an added advantage.
- At least 5 years working experience of successfully handling similar responsibilities.
