About Organisation:
MakSPH is conducting an evaluation of Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) toxicities and surveillance practices across several health facilities in Uganda. The project team is seeking qualified, responsible, and competent individuals to join the research team on short-term basis.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise collection of quantitative data
- Conduct data cleaning and manipulation to generate analyzable datasets.
- Analyse quantitative data, particularly longitudinal datasets and time series data.
- Develop statistical models and perform data analyses using appropriate software (e.g., Stata, R, SAS).
- Conduct quality control of statistical data, ensuring the validity and reliability of the analysis.
- Collaborate with the study team to interpret results and contribute to the preparation of reports and publications.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of data analysis plans and methodologies.
- Support the development of reports and manuscripts from analysis.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Biostatistics or a closely related field (or nearly completed).
- Proficiency in statistical software: Stata, R, or SAS (candidates must be highly competent in at least one of these).
- Experience in analyzing longitudinal datasets and time series data is essential.
- Strong background in statistical modelling and data analysis techniques.
- Experience in managing and analyzing health-related data, especially HIV-related data is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
