Job Summary: GIZ Uganda is recruiting a Finance Manager to support in the implementation of its programme.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for:
Specific Tasks
The Finance Manager performs the following tasks:
- Financial management and controlling
- Oversight and quality assurance (oversight, controls, and compliance) of financial and administration processes of the projects
- Contract Management
- Other Duties/Additional Tasks
- Perform other duties and tasks at the request of management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance Management. A masters degree in a related field is an added advantage.
- A professional certification in Finance e.g., ACCA or CPA is an added advantage
Details of experience:
- 5 years professional experience in project accounting and/or finance management preferably within GIZ Uganda.
- Proficiency in independently performing and complying with GIZ O&R and country internal procedures for all project related tasks in procurement, operations, and accounting.
- Experience in project Proficiency in the accounting procedures required for project management.
- Proficiency in relevant IT tools (SAP, Cost Control/Onsite reporting, MS-Office applications).
- Proficiency to develop and handle tables and databases in excel for various monitoring purposes
Knowledge, skills and competences:
- A proven team player with good communication skills and interest in handling diverse tasks in a small team.
- Proactive in finding solutions and taking responsibility, interest in actively developing Junior Administrative and support staff
