Job Title: Document Control – Work Permit Liaison Officer

Key Duties and Responsibilities: The main responsibility of the position holder’s:
- Primarily follow up contact towards external authorities (immigration, PAU), etc
- Ensure administrative formalities to obtain working visas, accreditations, work permits for the Company expatriates / Contractors and accompanying family members (Residential and Rotational), VIE as appropriate.
- Maintain good working relations with the Directorate of Immigration in Uganda
- Preparation of documents for submission to immigration
- Follow up at immigration for approval of applications.
- Responding to queries raised by immigration.
- Generate URA payment registration slips and process payment of immigration fees.
- Schedule biometric appointment.
- Review of documents for submission to immigration
- Proper record and documents keeping, in an acceptable and retrievable format
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: Relevant Degree in Law, Commercial, Human Resource or Administration.
Professional experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ practical, relevant and progressive experience in immigration and Work permit matters.
- Good knowledge and understanding of Immigration laws and practices in Uganda.
- Good interpersonal, communication & organizational skills, capabilities to take workload and work under pressure, able to work in a multicultural environment.
- Take proper actions and decisions to respect targets, timelines.
- Ability to adapt and to engage in discussions with Authorities.
- Good work ethics and respect for ethical standards, and confidentiality.
