Job Title: Supervisor – Turbine Oper. DCS

About Organisation:
Kakira Sugar Limited (KSL) is a leading sugar manufacturer in Uganda. KSL boasts of two sugar estates, one in Kakira – Jinja and the other in Kayunga.
Job Summary: To maintain maximum power generation and supply the required quantity of exhaust steam to process section.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor the turbine operation parameters and record them.
- Monitor the operation of cold and hot start-up of condensing/extraction turbine and its accessories.
- Maintain the 2nd extraction steam pressure, temperature and flow to meet process requirements.
- Star the condenser, vacuum system and maintain the cooling tower.
- Monitor lube oil temperature, pressure and the PVR station.
- Control the II extraction steam pressure and temperature flow.
- Synchronize the turbine to the grid.
- Clean the working environment.
- Adhere to the safety, health and environment policy of the company.
- Perform any other related duties as maybe assigned to you by the Superintendent – Cogeneration/Management from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Education:
- A Diploma in either Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institution.
Experience, Skills and Competences:
- A minimum of at least two (2) years working experience as a fitter in a busy organization.
- Knowledge in mechanical maintenance and machinery servicing, dismantling and overhauling machines, good supervisory and good communication skills.

- Interpersonal Skills: Willingness working in a team and to receive and follow instructions with enthusiasm

- Willingness working in a team to achieve the teams set goals.
